- The river in Harston is silting up – largely due to the state of the flood plain upstream of Harston
- Seasonal flows are increasing in variability – creating greater highs and lows than we have seen in the last 30 years
- Surplus water is run off and disappears to Denver Lock and then out to sea.
- There has been a loss of fauna activity and this needs to be recovered
- The expansion of Cambridge is causing further depletion of the chalk stream aquifer
