The Pearce Gould Charitable Trust was started by David Pearce Gould; he was also responsible for establishing the Ted Ellis Trust at Wheatfen in Surlingham Norfolk; the only salt water Broad and this Trust reflects his own desire as a Norfolk Naturalist.
The charity is registered with the Charity Commission under no 1099765
The Local Land Holding
The land is owned by the Harston & Alpington Livestock partnership that has small agricultural holdings in Harston, Cambridgeshire and Norfolk; these are both registered with DEFRA and the RPA.
The intention is to establish expertise in managing land for the environment and contract with other land owners to improve marginal land concentrating on sites in flood plains.
