Projects

The Following Projects are currently work in progress:-

  1. Revitalise Mill pond to cope with dryer periods leading to …..
  2. More support for fauna, fungi and flora; in particular fauna that has no where else to go. This is severely lacking at present and some specie may need reintroduction.
  3. Create reed beds strategically located to capture run off from road and rail  (covering A10 and Railway Lines both Kings Cross line and EWR when built) and other pollutants. These would be repeated near high risk asset eg poultry farms etc. and sewage works etc
  4. Under a) and c) above  a study to establish whether such flood water can be used for either a grey water system covering a number of farms (as in Felixstowe HydroCycle) or used for Managed Aquifer Recharge (MAR).
  5. Planting trees on spare land not required for bio diversity
  6. Create water meadows to help fauna

The principal objective is to improve flora and fauna in the Rhee corridor. The indirect benefit will be improved water quality and possibly with MAR improved water flow.
